LEVY 2022

Our current levy will expire December 31, 2022. The School Board approved to have the renewal levy on the ballot in April. Ballots will be due April 26th. This levy must pass in order to continue programs for our 2022-2023 school year and beyond (this is a 4-year levy, so will fund through 2026). What are School Levies? What is VIS? What does the Levy Pay For?

Click HERE for a list of what is funded by our local Issaquah School District Levies (see attached PDF on this email of page 12 with the programs listed).

The ISD Levy Development Committee is made up of representatives from every school, local business representatives, and community members are meeting from December 2021 to January 2022 to form a recommendation for a levy package for 2022 ballot measures. The committee will present its recommendation to Superintendent Ron Thiele, who will bring the final recommendation to the Issaquah School Board for approval at the Jan. 27, 2022 School Board Meeting. The Levy Development Committee will consider the proposed content, total cost and tax impact of three ballot measures: an Educational Programs and Operations Levy (formerly called the Maintenance and Operations Levy), a Capital (Technology and Critical Repairs) Levy, and a Transportation (Bus) Levy. Click HERE for information, agendas, notes and details.

Any comments, questions about the levy package, please encourage your community to email All comments will be shared with the committee members for

ParentWiser Event
ParentWiser is hosting Katie Hurley LCSW on January 20th at 7pm to present, Confronting Stress, Anxiety and Depression.
Katie has been on the ParentWiser wish list for awhile now and we're very excited to host her. She's energetic and incredibly current with information regarding childhood to teenage stress and anxiety. Her latest book from 2020 is, A Year of Positive Thinking for Teens: Daily Motivation to Beat Stress, Inspire Happiness, and Achieve Your Goals. Her other four books are just as amazing and vary for all age ranges. For the younger set I recommend, The Stress-Buster Workbook for Kids.
