Calling volunteers who want to get involved!

We need YOU to make a difference for our
Maywood kids!

The Maywood PTSA is looking to fill various board and committee positions for the 2023-2024 school year. You’ll find that many require a small and flexible time commitment that can fit into your schedule. Lend us your skills and expertise by joining a team of parents who work together to make a difference in the daily lives of the students, teachers and staff at Maywood Middle School.
We are accepting nominees for the following elected positions:
President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer
We also have non-elected positions available as well and we are looking for chairs for Reflections, Membership, Communications, Outreach, Staff Appreciation, & Family & Community Engagement (FACE)
Nominations are open, so please contact us soon! If you have any questions or want to help, please email the Nominating Committee members at:
Nicole Jacobs and Laura Ni - nomcomm@maywoodptsa.org

Activity Bus Survey
Please help us collect more information about how recent changes to activity bus routes have impacted our Maywood students and families.  We would like you to fill out this survey and share your experience.

Please nominate an outstanding volunteer for a

Golden Acorn Award or Outstanding Advocate Award!

Do you know a volunteer who goes “above and beyond” for our kids at Maywood?

Nomination deadline is Tuesday March 5th, 2024

CLICK HERE TO SUBMIT AN ONLINE AWARD NOMINATION

The Golden Acorn Award is presented by the Maywood PTSA to people who have given exemplary volunteer service to children and youth in our school community. This award is very special and is given for continued and dedicated service. This is an excellent way to honor PTSA members for their significant contribution to this association. The recipient(s) of these awards are volunteers who promote the mission of the PTSA: to be a “powerful voice for all children, a relevant resource for families and communities, and a strong advocate for the well-being and education of every child.”

The Outstanding Advocate Award honors an individual for continued and dedicated service to children and a demonstrated commitment to helping create strong policies relating to the health, welfare, safety, and education of children. Volunteers who speak for students, or who try to change things for the benefit of children are considered advocates. Nominees for this award can be a PTSA member, community member, teacher, assistant, or administrator.

These Awards are Washington State PTA awards. More information and details can be found here.

Please consider nominating a special volunteer today. Nominees are scored using a weighted rubric considering volunteer service to the PTSA, Maywood Middle School, the District, and Community.

Award recipients will receive a Washington State PTA plaque & pin, and will be honored at the Issaquah PTSA Council Award Reception on TBD. A donation will be made in the recipients name to the Washington State PTA Scholarship Program.

Thank you for taking the time to acknowledge our wonderful volunteers!
