Golden Acorn Award or Outstanding Educator Award!

Do you know a volunteer or staff member who goes above and beyond for our kids at Maywood?

Nomination deadline is Friday March 27, 2026 

The Golden Acorn Award is presented by the Maywood PTSA to people who have given exemplary volunteer service to children and youth in our school community. This award is very special and is given for continued and dedicated service. This is an excellent way to honor PTSA members for their significant contribution to this association. The recipient(s) of these awards are volunteers who promote the mission of the PTSA: to be a “powerful voice for all children, a relevant resource for families and communities, and a strong advocate for the well-being and education of every child.”  Recipients receive a certificate and pin, will be honored at a reception hosted by Issaquah Council PTSA, and a contribution is made in their name to the Washington State PTA Scholarship Program that benefits students.

The Outstanding Educator Award is presented to an individual who has made significant contributions in their community to enhance the educational outcomes of all children or youth. An educator is not limited to a teacher and may be defined as a teacher, assistant, specialist, support staff, administrator or community member. Recipients receive a certificate and pin, and a contribution is made in their name to the WSPTA Scholarship Program that benefits students.

Please consider submitting a nomination today. Nominees are scored using a weighted rubric considering service to the PTSA, Maywood Middle School, the District, and Community.
