What does the Maywood PTSA do?
  • Coordinate events such as "Skate Night at Sno-King", "Maywood Night at the Mariners", the 8th Grade Dance and more!
  • Grant funds to teachers and staff.  In the 24-25 school year, the MMS PTSA issued over $3000 in grants!
  • Shower the amazing MMS staff with appreciation through the coordination of events that include potluck lunches, breakfasts, and other fun treats!
  • Organize, staff, and fund rewards and recognition for the awesome MMS students!
  • And so much more!!!

Fall Book Fair is Oct. 14-16

Scholastic Book Fair – Sponsored by Maywood PTSA

Students are invited to the Maywood Scholastic Book Fair on Oct. 14-16, 2025, during lunch all three days, and after school on Wednesday, Oct. 15, from 5 p.m. to 7:30 pm.
 
Accepted methods of payment are cash, credit, or Apple Pay. All proceeds will support the library and Charger incentives.
 

Volunteer Opportunity

For this to happen, we need your help! Volunteers will help students find the books they want, operate the register, and assist with the flow of traffic.

General Membership Meeting is Oct. 15

Join us for our upcoming General Membership Meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 15, at 6 p.m. in the Maywood Middle School Library. Stay informed, share your voice, and connect with our school community. 

While you're there, be sure to stop by the Book Fair, open from 5-7:30 p.m., and check out the Charger Café during Charger Success Night.

Reflections theme for 2025-26 is "I BELONG!”

Art submissions are due 10 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 12

The National PTA has announced the 2025–2026 Reflections theme: “I belong!”

Reflections is a national PTA arts program where students create original works in visual art, music, photography, film, dance, or literature. This theme invites students to express where they feel connection, identity, and community.

Deadline is Wednesday, Nov. 12 at 10 a.m. Please turn in art submissions in the Maywood Middle School office.

For over 50 years, Reflections has helped students explore their own thoughts, feelings and ideas, develop artistic literacy, increase confidence and find a love for learning. The Reflections program provides opportunities for recognition and access to the arts which boosts student confidence and success in the arts and in life.
